Enjoying Seafood like Manhattan Way

Serving It Up The Manhattan Way!

Last weekend I ate one of my favorite menu: Fish and Chips.

For this meal me and my friend went to a seafood restaurant in one of the biggest mall in Jakarta, Lotte Avenue Shopping Mall (or LOVE mall), located on the fourth floor near the theatre. The Manhattan Fish Market restaurant.

The restaurant itself wasn’t a new place for me, but I just love the food and the ambience. I love the fish and how it was cooked, the environment always be a bonus for me. Sometimes good food not always covered with a good place, but a good place always served good food. Ha! ๐Ÿ˜€

Though the restaurant located in many malls, but in each mall it has its own signature, and for this mall, I love the ambience. They created a simple view and decoration yet comfortable.

Fish and Chips.

Favorite of all-time. The crunchy-floured dory fish and served with fries and sauces. The fish was so soft and crisp. I love how this restaurant made the fish so crisp and delicious. I just canโ€™t explain more how I love the dish!

Citrus Baked Seafood.

My friend chose a bowl of rice with a perfect combination. “An assortment of dory fish, baby octopus, and scallops baked with tangy marinade with garden herbs” well said by the menu book. The rice itself was so tasty and you can imagine how good was the combination.

To company our meal, we chose a usual beverage: lemon tea and blackcurrant. Well, not only usual and common but also free refill.

Though this restaurant was quite pricey, but I will come to this place again and again. Not only to satisfy my stomach but for the comfortable that I got.

Well worth ๐Ÿ™‚

Hangover Horse!

That Hangover Horse.

Just like a room that customized into a mini cafe.

One day, me and a friend of mine trying to find something new around central of Jakarta. We found a unique name on the web “That Hangover Horse”. Such a unique name for us, and then we decided to go and try what so unique over there. It’s located at Wisma Geha- Basement floor, Timor Street No. 25, MH. Thamrin, Central of Jakarta (right after Sarinah building) The cafe was located in the basement, and it’s not hard to be found. Right after we entered the area of Wisma Geha (from back side), the basement was straight in front of us. We just need to climbed down a little steps and go to the right, then get into the cafe.

The cafe was small yet comfortable, especially if you bring a little group of yours. Since we went for lunch, the cafe served only for the two of us ๐Ÿ˜€ The cafe was a little rock, served with the LCD TV for karaoke, decorated with empty bottles (such wines and alcohols), mini characters display, cute character mugs, and also a mini bar. So, if you really want to be hangover with your little group, this place’s rock!

We tried their meals: macaroni mac & cheese and their signature garlic rice. The macaroni served just like usual pasta but the taste was good. The cheese and ham were mixed well enough with the pasta. Their garlic rice was great. The rice was heart-shaped and served you with three hearts, served also with mushrooms and chickens. This garlic rice was unique and new for us.

For our beverages, we chose the simple hot lemon tea and “teh tarik”. Here comes the dessert. Since we searched for something unique, we chose their pudding with caramel Bailey syrup. The taste was sweet (for the caramel) and quite strong (for the alcohol-from the Bailey’s)

Overall, this place’s rock and simple yet comfortable
